Upon first inspection this might appear to be just another Medcom Inspector, but if you look a little closer [internal pics after the jump] you’ll see it’s got a few modifications. What we’ve basically done here is taking the guts of the bGeigie and put them inside the case of the Inspector, making it a single self contained device. While you can’t strap an inspector to the outside of your car, you also can’t walk around with a bGeigie hanging off your backpack in a lot of situations and this allows us to log geotagged radiation readings with a much less attention getting object. This is just the first version, but as you can see by the map report below it works pretty well. We’ll have this on display at our open house this weekend for anyone who wants to see it in person.
